Dom was born on August 23, 1970, in Montreal, Quebec from overbearing, but well-intentioned Italian parents. Dom on the other hand did not want to be Italian, but the Quebecoise girls dug it and so he decided to stick with it.
Driven by anything artistic, colors, sounds and smells are what inspires Dom. He’s been involved in the food industry for over past 20 years. Back in 2005, a colleague of his picked up a Canon 5D, after taking his first picture, Dom was hooked. Making the connection between F/stops, aperture and ISO was a new language. A million images later, what started, as a hobby became a passion. When Dom does not have a camera in his hands, his interests are motorcycles, guitars and experimenting with different food flavors.
From that very first awful image, to his next moment of clarity, experience pushes him to continually evolve his vision while reminding him of the importance of carrying his camera with humor, compassion and curiosity.
